{pure inspiration}

It's a sunny spring afternoon in May, but here in Miami, it actually feels like a summer day!

Thinking all white...so light and airy!

{inspiration: gallery walls}

I am planning on making a gallery wall in my family room. I have been thinking about it for a while. The idea came to me because I don't know what to do with my engagement portrait. It's a canvas picture framed in a very thick contemporary looking frame. It's a huge picture, 20x24. At the time it seemed like a great idea, now we don't know what to do with it. So, we have decided to put it up in the family room along with other family and friends photos.

The walls in that room are painted dark brown. It's the "manly room" in the house. It is intended to be my hubby's room. Somehow, some flowery patterns have made their way over there, but mainly, it's a more masculine room.

I've been buying frames for the past month. I want a uniform/eclectic look, if that makes sense at all. I'm keeping it uniform by only using brown frames. Now, the styles are all different.

I promise some pictures when the project is completed! For now, here are some inspiration pictures.

And Happy Monday!

{great finding = great feeling}

I consider myself to be a shopaholic. I love buying purses (they are my obsession), clothes, shoes, things for the house, you name it...but there is no greater feeling than when I find a bargain.

Today I went to buy a pair of white pants for tomorrow night; I have a date with my hubby. -By the way, thank God I found them because there is nothing worse than having an outfit in mind and not being able to find one of the pieces-. Then I decided to wander a little around the mall. I ended up at Bath and Body Works since I'm running out of candles. And then...I found my favorite holiday scent on SALE! I paid $4.25 for a $19.99 candle...I had to buy more than one because you can't beat that price. Needless to say, I was super excited! I also bought one for my mother in law. She and I are the same when it comes to buying stuff for the house.
